A Classic from America’s “Peak Big Car” Era
Just a couple years before the oil shock of the mid 1970s changed the American auto industry forever, American automakers were fixated on the idea that “bigger is better.”
Forget fuel economy. These cars were designed to impress with sheer size.
Our customer Jason shared these photos of his beautifully-preserved 1972 Chevrolet Impala Custom Cruiser.
Jason has the right background to care for this classic. His dad was an independent auto mechanic who ran his own shop for many years. His dad studied auto mechanics at General Motors Institute of Technology, now Kettering University.
Jason snapped up our last copy of the 1972 Chevrolet Passenger Car Chassis Service Manual. However we do have many more service manuals, overhaul manuals, and Fisher Body manuals for 1970s era Chevrolet cars.
